 Doesn`t capture DirectX Overlay I needed to capture images in the DirectX overlay. Since the description read "directX capture", I assumed it would do that. I couldn't figure out how to make it do it so it is of no use to me. We already have Cntrl-Printscreen so I don't see that it has any features that I need.

Only 10 uses, Virtually the same software as CamStudio. CamStudio is Open Source Freeware.
It worked. It did what it says it does, though you can only press the record button 10 times. Before you have to buy it :(
Good recorder app I've only recorded a couple of short test clips, but the quality seems good. I think this would be a great tool to use for creating CBT courses for software. Also, from a different perspective, it could be used to create tutorials in how to perform tasks within development tools.

great product easy to use, short learning curve
This is a first impression review.Good stuff, very handy for illustrating web pages with things, just capture something at hand. I use it for my home-made start-page with clickable images as links, so I make captures of web sites that I regularly visit.The "capture active window" button behaves strangely, it captures a more or less empty picture (I run XP).Suggestion: menu item "close all"Haven't looked at al the nice to have functionality for editing pictures, might come in handy.My overall impression is very positive.I would also like to use it for illustrated software manuals, ...
